So A College In London now offers a course in taking a Selfie

If you’re worried your selfie game isn’t up to scratch and fancy improving your self snapping technique (and we really hope you don’t) then now there’s a course to turn us into selfie professionals.
After the art of the selfie became a global trend in 2014, a college in London appears to be cashing in and is now running a course on how to take the best ‘seflie’ or ‘The art of self portraiture’ as it’s described.


Offered by City Lit, the course will help you to snap the best selfie as well as helping students grasp the understanding behind the art form over four weekly sessions.

Described by the college as a way to “Improve your critical understanding of the photographic self portrait, on this introductory course, and develop your ideas to produce a coherent body of work.”

Delving into the real meat behind the course, it’s explained as: “The course is a theory/practice introduction to photographic self-portraiture; it is conceived for students to improve their critical understanding of the photographic self-portrait, as well as a platform to develop ideas towards the creation of a coherent body of work.”
